About Us: The Liberia Potters Association, inc. is the first established ceramics
industry in Liberia since 1967. a group of potters headed by
Wiltmot
K. Barclay, timothy mottey and others with all legal documents to authenticate its
existence and operations in Liberia legally reorganized
it in 2009. it aims to promote ceramics arts through life skills
training and commerce. its members are of diverse arts background and
allies. they include potters, sculptor, engravers, architect, mansons,
painters, jeweler and other artisans including office administrators.
Location
The Liberia potters association is ideally located near the Saint Paul Bridge, Hotel Africa road, Monrovia, Liberia. Sub offices are expected to be open in other parts of Liberia soon.
Programs
The Association (lpa) is involve with training potential and talented potters, producing clay pots,vases,bricks,tiles,porcelains and other earthenware's. These items are sold on the Liberian market and proceeds revolve to sustain the program. LPA is also modernizing the native potters and capacitating their markets through workshops, clay managements and kiln constructions.
Plans to improve our products and man power development through international exposures is a welcomed appraisal from our Liberian government, individuals and philanthropist organizations.
